Babysitter Program

This class is designed to familiarize students with the basic knowledge and skills to safely care for infants and children. Our goal is to teach our students to be the best babysitter on the block! It is our aim that our students will gain confidence to make smart decisions and stay safe in any babysitting situation.Topics covered by this course include:

Supervising children and infants
Performing basic childcare skills such as diapering and feeding
Handle bedtime and discipline issues
Fire, personal and kitchen safety awareness
Basic First Aid
Infant, Child and Adult CPR*
Communicating effectively with parents
Ethical and business principles of babysitting
Ages & stages of development
Age-appropriate activities

*Participants will receive an ASHI card upon successful completion of CPR training.*
