Ride-Along Program

The Yavapai County Fire Consortium allows members of the community, 18 years of age and older, to participate in a Ride-Along Program with on-duty emergency crews at our various fire stations in the Yavapai County Fire Consortium communities. This program is intended as an educational endeavor to acquaint community members with the Fire and Emergency Medical Services provided by the Fire Consortium, and to better understand the duties and responsibilities of today’s firefighters. This program allows for our community to experience responding to emergency calls in a fire truck or in a command vehicle while observing Fire Consortium District operations in a variety of emergency situations. Observers will also experience firsthand what life in the fire house is all about, and to get to know your community firefighters on a more personable basis. We require a one (1) week notice for all Ride-Along requests. Thank you for your cooperation.

Car-Seat Safety Inspection

Our certified technicians can verify if a seat has been recalled, provide proper installation instruction and will evaluate the owners ability to safety install a car seat on their own once they have been instructed to ensure child safety seats are properly installed if they need to be removed from the vehicle or moved to another. An appointment may be obtained by calling 928-717-2304. We currently take appointments on Thursday afternoons. We do limit installation instruction to appointments only so our certified technicians can provide one on one instruction.
