Williamson Valley-Bagdad Fire District
District Overview:
The Williamson Valley-Bagdad Fire District comprises two fire stations, designated as Station 91 (Williamson Valley) and Station 95 (Bagdad). The district serves both Williamson Valley, Arizona, and Bagdad, Arizona. Station 95, in particular, encompasses a 90-square-mile service area, extending an additional 300 square miles. Its coverage spans 40 miles of US Highway 93, 10 miles of US Highway 97, and 22 miles of US Highway 96.
Area Information:
Williamson Valley (located at an elevation of 4,500 feet) is situated approximately 15 miles north of Prescott and is a great place for outdoor activities like horseback riding and hiking, while Bagdad (located at an elevation of 3,900 feet) is situated approximately 60 miles southwest and is known for one of the largest copper resources in the world. Bagdad Arizona is a copper mining community owned by Freeport-McMoRan.
