Emergency Medical Services

Our Yavapai County Fire Consortium certified paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) respond 24/7 to medical emergencies, including cardiac arrests, trauma injuries, respiratory distress, and other life-threatening conditions. Equipped with advanced life support (ALS) capabilities, our teams utilize state-of-the-art medical equipment, such as defibrillators, airway management tools, and medications, to stabilize patients on-scene and during transport to medical facilities. Basic life support (BLS) services are also provided for less severe cases, ensuring comprehensive care for all emergencies.
The Consortium’s EMS operations are seamlessly integrated through a unified command structure and joint dispatch via the Prescott Dispatch Center. We collaborate with local hospitals, air medical services, and the Yavapai County Office of Emergency Management to facilitate efficient patient care and transport. This coordination ensures rapid response times and effective handoffs to definitive care, even in remote areas. Our EMS personnel are highly trained, holding certifications in ALS, BLS, and specialized protocols, with ongoing education to maintain expertise in evolving medical practices.
The Consortium also promotes community health through public education programs, offering CPR training, first aid classes, and injury prevention outreach to empower residents with life-saving skills. With a focus on compassion and professionalism, the Yavapai County Fire Consortium’s EMS operations save lives and support the well-being of our communities.
Our dedicated responders, modern equipment, and collaborative approach ensure that Yavapai County receives exceptional emergency medical care whenever and wherever it’s needed.
